Breed: Golden Retriever | Age: 4 Years Old
Warrior is one of Project Harmony’s beloved facility dogs, and a steady source of comfort for children during some of their most difficult moments. Working alongside his companion, Woody, Warrior provides emotional support and reassurance across the Center’s services—helping children feel safer, calmer, and more supported as they begin to share their experiences.
Whether he’s present during a forensic interview, sitting nearby in a family advocacy meeting, or offering quiet companionship during a mental health session, Warrior helps create an environment where children can breathe a little easier. His warm, affectionate nature has a powerful way of easing fear and encouraging children to open up—reminding them they are not alone.
Project Harmony supports children and families through trauma-informed, child-centered services designed to reduce stress, increase safety, and promote healing. Through coordinated advocacy, forensic interviewing, and mental health support, Project Harmony helps children feel protected and empowered—while surrounding families with care throughout every step of the process.
Warrior began his training as a young puppy, learning over 50 commands and completing extensive socialization to prepare for the important role he would one day fill. Recognizing his natural ability to provide life-changing support, Patriot Paws generously donated Warrior to Project Harmony. Warrior officially joined the team in August 2022, and since then, he has become a trusted and familiar comfort for countless children—showing up with calm presence, gentle companionship, and the kind of support that speaks louder than words.
Warrior’s role is simple, but deeply meaningful: he helps children feel safe enough to take the next step. In rooms where emotions can feel heavy and words can be hard to find, Warrior offers something steady—quiet comfort, patient closeness, and a calm presence that helps children relax and feel supported. With Warrior nearby, many children find it easier to settle, open up, and begin sharing what they’ve been holding inside.
