Clairence Oktober, founder of The Lavender Project, is a passionate speaker and advocate dedicated to empowering queer youth and survivors of sexual and domestic violence across rural New Mexico. With extensive advocacy, crisis intervention, and education experience, they bring a unique perspective to address the challenges facing community members and the professionals working with them. Clairence excels at developing innovative, resource-conscious approaches to support marginalized communities. He invites his audience to reconsider traditional means of advocacy and our commitment to resilience in community.
