About Eevee:

Eevee is a beloved member of BraveBe Child Advocacy Center. As a certified facility dog, she bridges the gap between a therapy dog and a service dog, providing emotional support and comfort to children and families. Eevee’s warm and friendly nature makes her a perfect fit for her role—she enthusiastically greets families upon arrival and ensures she visits with each person. She is always ready for a belly rub and offers her calming presence during forensic interviews and caregiver meetings. Many children look forward to seeing Eevee every week, seeking her out the moment they walk through the door.

Training and Background

Eevee completed a year of specialized training to become a certified facility dog. She is trained to remain calm in high-stress environments and respond to emotional cues, providing comfort to children during difficult moments. Her presence has proven to be a vital source of support not only for the families she serves but also for the staff at BraveBe.

On her days off, Eevee enjoys playing with her fellow canine friends, running around the yard, and carrying her favorite stuffed animals. She loves chewing on bones and believes she is a lap dog, always eager to snuggle!

Memorable Moment

One family, whose child had evening appointments, would call ahead just to check if Eevee was present because their child missed seeing her. Another child found solace in talking about the softness of Eevee’s velvety ears and nose, helping them cope with a difficult time. Many families cherish Eevee so much that they keep her stickers on their refrigerators as a reminder of the comfort.
